'WE CONTACTED ARDA GÜLER'S UNCLE'
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurettin Akçakale, the Head of the Department of Textile, Clothing, Footwear, and Leather at Gerede Vocational School, stated that he asked Arda Güler's uncle for his shoes. "I can say that the idea of the museum is actually mine. Currently, there are over 250 pairs of shoes in the museum. One of the latest shoes is from our local hero Arda Güler. We contacted Arda Güler's uncle. Arda Güler can also be considered from Gerede because the district of Mengen used to be part of Gerede," he said.
'THERE ARE 250 DIFFERENT PAIRS OF SHOES'
Akçakale, who stated that he contacted celebrities to create the shoe museum, said, "Mete Gazoz's shoes arrived 1-2 months ago. Here, there are over 250 different pairs of shoes. We receive shoes from the relatives of some of our deceased celebrities. Some we get directly from them. Kenan Işık is one of them. Some hear about the museum and contact us themselves. We also request a signed note along with the shoes. There are quite a number of visitors. There is a couple living in America, and when they come to Turkey, this is the first place they visit," he expressed.
