The first statement from singer Cem Adrian, who has been issued an arrest warrant as part of a drug investigation targeting celebrities in Istanbul, has arrived. Adrian, who stated that he is currently abroad for a concert, said, "As soon as I return, I will fulfill the necessary procedures. Do not have the slightest doubt. It is impossible for any of the substances mentioned to be present in any of my cells. I am very far from those issues."
An operation was carried out in some places operating as restaurants and entertainment venues in the Bebek, Kuruçeşme, and Etiler neighborhoods of Beşiktaş as part of a drug and prostitution investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. A total of 17 people were detained, and actions were taken against 24 suspects, including 1 outside the country and 6 abroad. The first statement came from singer Cem Adrian, one of the names for whom a detention order was issued.
"I WILL FULFILL THE PROCEDURES AS SOON AS I RETURN"
In a statement made on social media regarding the detention order issued against him, the singer stated that he was abroad for his concerts and that he would fulfill the necessary procedures as soon as he returned, saying, "It is impossible for any of the mentioned substances to be found in any of my cells."
Cem Adrian used the following expressions in his statement:
"Happy Sunday to everyone… I learned about the investigation against me while I was in Bremen for my concerts, which were scheduled and announced at least 1 year in advance. I will fulfill the necessary procedures in accordance with the decision taken against me as soon as I return.
"I AM VERY FAR FROM THOSE ISSUES"
I do not want anyone to have the slightest doubt that it is impossible for any of the mentioned substances to be found in any of my cells. I am very far from those issues. I am at peace, please be at peace as well. With love and respect."
