In an operation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Fire Department Chief Remzi Albayrak was taken into custody.

The Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Unit conducted an operation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) in the morning hours. According to journalist Dilek Yaman Demir, the head of the IMM Fire Department, Remzi Albayrak, was detained during the operation. It is still unclear under which case Albayrak was detained.
