The regulation that prohibits the sale of second-hand motor vehicles within 6 months and 6,000 kilometers from the first registration, along with the restriction on advertised prices, will continue until July 1, 2026.

The "Regulation on the Amendment of the Regulation on the Trade of Motor Vehicles" prepared by the Ministry of Trade has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect.

6 MONTH, 6 THOUSAND KILOMETER CONDITION EXTENDED

Accordingly, those engaged in the trade of second-hand motor vehicles will not be able to market or sell motorcycles, cars, and land vehicles directly or indirectly before July 1, 2026, unless 6 months and 6 thousand kilometers have passed since the date of first registration.

PRICE RESTRICTION WILL CONTINUE

Additionally, the practice of not being able to market second-hand motor vehicles at a price above the current sales price recommended by the manufacturer or distributor has also been extended until July 1, 2026.

On the other hand, a regulation has been made to waive the high school graduation requirement for authorization certificate applications made by businesses with tax or professional chamber registration until April 1, 2026.
