The Kennedy family, which holds an important place in the political history of the United States, has been associated with misfortunes for nearly a century. Tatiana Schlossberg, a member of the new generation of the family, announced that she has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, which has a rare mutation. The 35-year-old Schlossberg shared that doctors have told her she likely has about a year to live. This adds another cancer case to the family's history, which is often described as "cursed."

The curse of the Kennedy family, one of the most recognized families in the United States, has returned, spanning from the 1940s to the present day. Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated while in office, announced that she is battling cancer.

35-year-old Schlossberg revealed that she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia with a rare mutation in May 2024, and that doctors told her she likely has about a year to live. The Kennedy family has been associated with tragedy for nearly a century.

In an article she wrote for The New Yorker, Schlossberg stated that the diagnosis was a huge shock for her and shared her concerns about whether her children would remember her. The young woman emphasized that she has undergone various treatments during her illness, including chemotherapy and two bone marrow transplants, and has participated in a clinical trial of CAR-T cell therapy, which is known to be effective against certain blood cancers.

COUSIN OF THE HEALTH SECRETARY

Schlossberg noted that her immune system weakened after the treatments, and she had to get her childhood vaccinations again.

At the beginning of the year, she expressed that her leukemia had returned and that her doctors said it was related to the mutation. During the last clinical trial, doctors estimated that she has about a year to live.

Schlossberg, who is also a cousin of U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., stated that her trust in the healthcare system has been shaken.

Tatiana Schlossberg is the daughter of Caroline Kennedy, JFK's daughter.
