Dr. Uğur Kahraman, an ophthalmologist working at Selçuk State Hospital in İzmir, was physically assaulted while on duty. The assailant was quickly apprehended and taken into custody. According to a statement made by the Selçuk District Governor's Office, the incident occurred yesterday afternoon. It was reported that the specialist doctor, who examined 72 patients during the day, was attacked despite planning an appointment for a person who requested an examination without an appointment for the next day. It was learned that the assailant was taken into custody and judicial proceedings are ongoing against him.
