A retired police officer in Edirne, after an argument with a neighbor with whom he had a feud, returned to the scene with his pistol. The suspect opened fire on the neighbor, his wife, and child, and was taken into custody, while it was learned that one of the injured is in critical condition.
In the garden of an apartment building located in the Belkoop area of Edirne's Keşan district, a fight broke out for an unknown reason between retired police officer M.K. and his neighbors, with whom he had a previous feud.
OPENED FIRE ON HIS NEIGHBOR, HIS WIFE, AND CHILDREN
As the argument escalated, M.K. went to his home and got his pistol. Returning to the scene, M.K. opened fire on A.K., his wife İ.K., and their children C.K. Upon receiving the fight report and arriving at the scene, Keşan District Police Department teams, seeing M.K. firing, fired warning shots into the air to end the brawl.
ONE OF THEM IS IN SERIOUS CONDITION
In the incident, A.K., C.K., and İ.K. were wounded by the bullets. Numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the report. After initial medical intervention, the injured were taken by ambulances to Keşan State Hospital for treatment. It was learned that the condition of A.K. among the injured remains critical.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
After the incident, retired police officer M.K. was apprehended with his pistol and taken into custody. Extensive security measures were taken by police at the scene. A comprehensive investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
