The couple Turgut (79) and Nuran Çakaloğlu (79), who were found stabbed to death in their home in the Efeler district of Aydın, had five separate special teams established for their murder investigation.
Dr. Ahmet Çakaloğlu, who lives in the same district in Aydın, went to the home of his parents Turgut and Nuran Çakaloğlu, from whom he had not heard for a while. Upon entering the house, Ahmet Çakaloğlu found his mother and father covered in blood.
THEY WERE FOUND IN A GRUESOME STATE
Following Dr. Çakaloğlu's report, police, health, and fire teams were dispatched to the address. During the examination by the health teams, it was determined that the couple had died from stab wounds inflicted on various parts of their bodies, including the head, neck, and abdomen. The lifeless bodies were sent to the morgue of Aydın Adnan Menderes University Forensic Medicine Institution to determine the exact cause of death. Neighbors reported hearing sounds of a fight coming from the Çakaloğlu couple's home around 3:00 AM.
THE CURTAIN OF SECRECY HAS BEEN LIFTED
Following the mysterious deaths, teams sprang into action. After the incident, five separate special teams were formed by the Aydın Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch to clarify the murder. It was noted that there were no security cameras in the vicinity of the house. While the house was sealed by a prosecutor's order, police tape was placed on the door.
FOUND ON DIFFERENT FLOORS
In the investigation, it was determined that the body of Turgut Çakaloğlu, who had 15 stab wounds, was found at the entrance of the house, while the body of Nuran Çakaloğlu, who died from 10 stab wounds, was found in the bedroom on the upper floor.
GOLD IN THE BAGS HAS BEEN TAKEN
During the police investigation in the house, it was determined that the gold in two bags had been taken, while the gold necklace, earrings, rings, and bracelets on Nuran Çakaloğlu were untouched. Additionally, the teams found no evidence of forced entry into the house.
The police are considering the possibility that the suspect or suspects may know the Çakaloğlu couple and that the murders were intended to be disguised as a robbery.
