Russia has extended the ban on gasoline exports until the end of the year to maintain fuel supply in the domestic market. It was announced that the export restriction on diesel fuel will be lifted as the market returns to normal.

WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told journalists in the city of Omsk that a decision was made at a government coordination meeting to extend the gasoline export ban until the end of the year.
Novak stated that the ban on diesel exports will be lifted in parallel with the recovery of the domestic market, noting that this way refineries will not face problems due to production surpluses and a decline in processing volumes.
Alexander Novak Novak emphasized that diesel fuel exports are important for refineries to operate at full capacity after the needs of the domestic market are met.
Pointing out that the fuel shortage arising from recent logistical changes is temporary, Novak said the government is taking the necessary steps to stabilize the domestic market as soon as possible.
